Journalism Professor: Fairfax is gold!!!
A colleague has a son studying journalism in the U.S who showed his professor some of the articles produced in the past fortnight in the Age and SMH. He loved them, called them "gold" and has added these gems to his collection of articles where the easily detectable extreme bias of journalists can cloud their ability to present a factual picture of the events they purport to be describing.

What's this about an Australian journalist travelling on an Irish passport?
Why not travel on an Australian passport?
Where do this blokes loyalties lie?
To Palestine? Ireland? Turkey?
The problem is that these days there is no such thing as ethics in journalism.
There used to be a time when it was considered unreasonable or improper to advocate your own viewpoints in news reports. Today, you can get away with anything. You can withhold from readers all information that contradicts your views so that the end result is that the McGeoughs of this world are free to ignore the IHH which was the fundamental aspect of the entire flotilla story.
In the end the problem lies with the newspaper's editor for allowing this codswallop to go to print.
